The Greenhouse Gases Emissions and Feedback Programme is organising Joint GHG Meeting in Edinburgh on Monday to Wednesday, 2-4 November 2015, in Edinburgh. It combines the annual internal project meetings with an open inclusive session (on 4 Nov) to connect with the wider community, researchers and stakeholders who are interested in greenhouse gas (GHG) research.

On Monday and Tuesday (2-3 Nov.), the three individual projects (RAGNARoCC, GREENHOUSE and GAUGE) have their own annual meeting in the same venue, with opportunities for cross-project interaction. Wednesday, 4 Nov., will be an outward-facing joint session, organised by the three projects together. This joint session is open to every researcher interested in greenhouse gases and not restricted to members of the GHG Emissions and Feedback Programme. The UK-ICOS community have organised a breakout meeting on Wednesday morning (note that it was originally planned for Thu., 5 Nov., but had to be moved), also in Edinburgh.

Venues and Travel information

Both venues are in the centre of Edinburgh.

The Royal Society of Edinburgh (Mon&Tue) in 22-26 George Street is within walking distance of Waverley railway station (ca 300m). The building isn't well-signed, it is easier to spot the Hard Rock Cafe next door. From the airport, the fastest and easiest option is the Airlink bus (ca 25 minutes journey time); it stops in George Street ca 100m west of the Royal Society. Alternatively, the tram takes about 35 minutes from the airport; get off on St Andrews Square and walk through the garden to George St. (ca 200m). Taxis are usually only marginally faster.

The Roxburghe Hotel is in Charlotte Square, at the West end of George Street.

Our Dynamic Earth is in Holyrood, next to the Scottish Parliament, about 600m walk from Waverley station.
